Mr. Croop is currently in his fifth year as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, second year as Director of Federal Programs and first year as Title IX Coordinator for the Berwick Area School District. Beginning his career at Berwick as an elementary teacher at Mulberry Street, he spent four years working as a fourth grade teacher before moving to the Middle School, where he taught sixth grade science for three years.
Mr. Croop began his administrative career serving as the Middle School Assistant Principal, before moving on to become the principal at Nescopeck Elementary from 2008-2010. After spending one year as principal at Salem Elementary, he then served as high school principal beginning in 2011, until the end of the 2015-2016 school year. During his tenure as a prinicipal, Mr. Croop was able to work with teachers and students at every level, allowing him to work on curriculum while lending support to both students and staff to assist with improvements for the district.
Mr. Croop graduated from the Berwick Area School District in 1994. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University in 1998 and continued his education at Wilkes University where he received his Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership. Currently, Mr. Croop is enrolled at Delaware Valley College where he will receive his superintendent letter and continue to work towards his Doctorate.
Mr. Croop is a lifelong resident of the Nescopeck area and resides with his wife Diane and son Blaze.
