Berwick students sweep Hayes family Physics competition. The Hayes family physics competition has been an annual event at the University of Scranton since 2004. It is an all-day competition where schools in our area send their high school physics students to challenge their engineering and physics problem-solving skills; the day contains five events.
Berwick Area Middle School’s “A” quiz bowl team won the Warrior Classic IV Tournament for middle school students held at B. Reed Henderson High School in West Chester. Fourteen teams from six schools in Pennsylvania and Delaware competed to be the first to buzz in on questions involving science, literature, history, geography, mathematical computation, current events, and pop culture. Summer Meal Distribution
We are pleased to announce that, once again, The Berwick Area School District and For The Cause Teen Center are partnering with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the USDA to distribute free meals to district families throughout the summer months.
The summer meal distribution will begin Monday, June 6. Meals will be delivered to West Berwick Elementary late morning to be packed, and volunteers will distribute the meals between 12:00 and 1:00p.m. This will continue weekly on Mondays through August 15, except for the July 4 holiday.
