Hayes Physics Competition

Congratulations to BHS Physics students for their achievements during the Hayes Physics Competition hosted by The University of Scranton. The students completed an individual quiz followed by four different timed team physics experiments throughout the day.BHS students bested 26 other teams from 12 different school districts in our area.

The team of Luke Peters, Mitchell Briggs, Nick Uram, Alysa Lewis, Derek Moss, Ben Talanca, & Carly Ochs earned 1st Place and 2nd Place trophies in two of the four labs (Conductivity & Projectiles).

The team of Chris Bowman, Nate Hook, Skye Terrones, Makayla Brown & Emma Czychowski earned 1st Place and 3rd Place in the other two labs (Optics & Car Launch). This team also had the highest overall point total in the entire competition and brought the coveted "Kane Cup" Championship Trophy back to BHS for the 4th time since 2017. 

Also in attendance were the teams of Ava Peters, Braedyn Harashek, Casey Carro, Jack Kendron, Dylan Francis, Chris Stola, Carson Witner, & Lucas Melito; and the team of Cole Phillips, Faith Matash, Andrew Scott, Rocco Romeo, & Chris Force.
