BHS Model UN

BHS Model UN students recently attended an event at Bloomsburg University. Students were tasked with building coalitions with other member countries in order to advance their agenda in four different committees that are part of the United Nations. The students were part of the following committees:

UN Security Council - issues pertaining to Israel-Palestine Cease Fire and Taiwan-China Conflict.

UN Human Rights Council - issues pertaining to Regulating Artificial Intelligence and Mining & Human Rights.

World Health Organizations - issues pertaining to Climate Change and Demographic Pressures.

UN General Assembly - issues pertaining to Funding Ukraine and Recommend Ukraine for NATO Membership.

Student Awards:

Chair's Award for representing Indonesia in Human Rights Council: Jack Kendron, Josephine Morgan, & Lillian Robinson-Gilden.

Best Paper Award for representing Russia in Human Rights Council: Luke Williams & Colin Hornberger.

Runner-up Paper Award for representing Iceland in World Health Organization: Leah Custer & Luke Sult.
