The Berwick Area School District received a generous grant from Lisa's Kids to provide students with care packages over the holiday break. The Lisa's Kids Fund was started in 2021 by the Canouse Family in memory of long-time paraeducator, Lisa Canouse. The funds were used to purchase items for students, such as food, gloves, hats, toiletries, and comforting items. Students in grades K-8, from specialized programs, received care packages. Students pictured, David Draushak and Christopher Gensel, in the BHS transition program, helped organize the care packages.
