BLOOMSBURG – A group of Berwick Area High School students took 2nd place at the Bloomsburg Fair’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Competition earlier this fall. High School Science Teacher Matt Shrader led the students in their design, which resulted in a $5,000 award for their finish. The students and Mr. Shrader later presented their “invention” to the Board of Education at a recent meeting.
Students involved in the development and design of the invention and the award-winning entry at the fair were: Hanako Ferro, Griffin Keller, Matison McIntyre and Jarret Groshek, Henry Novicki, Aubree Strachko, Jason Lin, Kayla McCreary, Ryan Kishbaugh, Kyle Hower, Kaleb Gearinger,and Megan Dalo.
