I hope this communication finds you well. Dr. Rachel Levine announced yesterday, November 17, some additional guidelines and mandates.
The one that affects us as a district is:
The major impact is while indoors, to wear a mask even if 6ft part.
As we move forward into the holiday season, I want to update you on some changes to the calendar and delivery of the instructional model to our students. Based on reports regarding the spread of Covid-19 and the latest guidelines and mandates from Dr. Rachel Levine, we will be changing to the following:
Wednesday, November 25th, will be a half-day and fully virtual. Your building principal will be in touch with specific guidelines.
Tuesday, December 1 through Friday, December 4, will be virtual days for the entire district.
Monday, December 7, we will resume our regular in-person schedule.
Wednesday, December 23, will be a half-day and fully virtual. Your building principals will be in touch with specific guidelines.
Monday, January 4 through Friday, January 8, will be virtual days for the entire district.
Monday, January 11, we will resume our regular in-person schedule.
These changes are being implemented if your child was exposed in your household due to families traveling or having other guests in your home during the holiday. If your child was infected, the symptoms might appear before coming back into the school.
There are few clear-cut answers, and there is no one size fits all option during this time. Remember to set limits and stick to them.
Please enjoy the holiday season while remembering the health and safety mandates and guidelines.
