CHICAGO – Fox News Channel National Correspondent Matt Finn, a graduate of Berwick Area High School, will serve as Graduation Speaker on June 16th at 7:00 in the Varsity Gym.
Finn recently covered the 2016 Presidential Election for Fox, reporting from Donald Trump rallies around the country, and on key elections in critical states such as Michigan and Wisconsin.
In addition, he has covered major news stories for the network including the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, protests in the streets of Chicago surrounding the death of Laquan McDonald, as well as deadly storms and fugitive chases.
Finn recently reported live from Minnesota on the death of famous musician Prince and from the Arizona hospital where Muhammad Ali died. He also extensively reported on the death of the Fox Lake, Illinois Police Offer Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, who staged his own suicide to look like a murder.
Finn began working with the Fox News Channel in 2013 as a Junior Reporter based in Las Vegas. In Vegas, he covered the initial Bundy Ranch Showdown in the Nevada Desert.
Prior to joining Fox News Channel, Finn was a reporter and anchor for KIMA-TV in Washington and a Producer and Stand-in Reporter at WBRE-TV in Wilkes Barre.
Finn is the recipient of several awards, including two separate investigative reporting awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and Chicago’s prestigious Peter Lisagor award for in-depth reporting.
Finn attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he studied Broadcast Journalism. At Temple, he interned as a PR Reporter for the Dean’s Office at the Fox School of Business; was a Philadelphia Street Reporter for Philadelphia Neighborhoods; a student intern at WRTI Radio and a newspaper reporter for the Temple News. Finn also spent a semester as an anchor intern for NBC 10.
