Mr. Robbins started his career at Columbia Montour AVTS as a High School English Teacher from 2002-2006. From there he was an English teacher at Wyoming Valley West School District from 2006-2009. Then became Assistant Principal from 2009-2016. Mr. Robbins was hired at Berwick Area School District in 2016 as the High School Assistant Principal. In 2018 he moved into the role of Berwick Area Middle School Assistant Principal. Since 2021, Mr. Robbins has been the Principal of the Middle School.

I have been working in public education for twenty years in districts across the state, such as Philadelphia, Lower Merion, and Allentown before coming to Berwick. I have a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Drexel University, a Master's in Secondary Education from Chestnut Hill College, and a Bachelor's in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Colorado. Karen S. Finucan
Assistant Principal - Berwick Area Middle School

Ms. Finucan started her career at BASD in 2001 as an elementary teacher at Orange Street Elementary teaching 2nd grade. She taught various grade levels there for ten years. She transferred to Nescopeck Elementary and continued teaching there for the next seven years. While at Nescopeck, she supervised the Alternative Education program at night and was the acting principal during a medical leave for the sitting principal. She then moved to the Middle School to teach 5th and 6th grade Math. In 2023, she became the Dean of Students and was promoted to Assistant Principal in December of 2024.
Ms. Finucan is a graduate of Berwick Area School District. She graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1998 with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She continued her education at Scranton University and pursued her Master's Degree in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification in 2012.
