Ms. Amy Melchiorre
Ms. Melchiorre began her teaching career at the Berwick Area Middle School as a 7th grade History teacher in 2005. She then transferred to the Berwick Area Senior High School and taught History in grades 9-12. She was also a teacher and supervisor in the Alternative Education Program. In 2012, Ms. Melchiorre accepted the Dean of Students position at the High School. She held that position for three years and was then offered the Assistant Principal position at the Senior High School. Ms. Melchiorre then became Principal of 5th & 6th Grade at the Berwick Area Middle School in July of 2016, Senior High School Principal in July of 2018, and most recently the Director of Curriculum & Instruction in grades K-8 and Nescopeck Elementary Principal in 2022.Ms. Melchiorre is a lifelong resident of Berwick and a graduate of the Berwick Area Senior High School. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Social Studies. Ms. Melchiorre went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Educational Leadership, along with Supervisory and Principal Certifications. She has also earned her Superintendent's Letter from Delaware Valley University.
