    Principal, West Berwick Elementary School

     

    Randy Peters is currently in his fourteenth year as an Elementary Principal in the Berwick Area School District. Mr. Peters previously served as Assistant Principal of Northwest Area Middle School and High School from 2001-2005.

     

    Mr. Peters taught history as well as psychology and sociology in the Berwick Area School District for nine years. In addition to his educational experience he also served, for ten years, as a Senior District Executive with the Columbia-Montour Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In this position, he was responsible for developing and implementing programs for elementary age students.

     

    Mr. Peters is a Berwick High School graduate. He earned his B.S. in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg State College in 1982. He continued his education at Temple University earning a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership as well as his Superintendent's letter of eligibility. 

     

    He has been recognized for completion of a fellowship with the Pennsylvania Educational Leadership Council, a prestigious organization based in Philadelphia.

     

    In 2011 he was recognized as Pennsylvania's "National Distinguished Principal" by the National Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals.  He was inducted into Berwick Area School District's Academic Hall of Fame in 2012.

     

    Mr. Peters and his wife, Brenda are the parents of two sons, Timothy and Stephen.
