Mrs. Wendy Kupsky

Mrs. Wendy Kupsky is our new superintendent as of August 11, 2020.  Mrs. Kupsky came into education after working in the human services field.  After teaching special education in Fairfax County VA, she move back to Berwick and in 1998 began teaching special education at her alma mater of Berwick Area School District. Mrs. Kupsky entered into administration as the Director of Special Education in 2005.  Her title was changed to Director of Student Services to reflect the districtwide needs of students in 2013.  In 2016, again her title was changed to Assistant to the Superintendent.   

During her years in Berwick, she has coached Jr. High and Sr. High Track and Field and Jr. High Cross Country.   

Mrs. Kupsky graduated from Penn State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling Educational Services.  She has a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Bloomsburg University, Principal K-12 Certificate from Temple University and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Marywood University. Mrs. Kupsky is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators (PASA). She has served on the Red Cross board and currently serves on the Board of Auditors for the Briar Creek Township.  She a certified trainer for ALICE and JKM Safe Crisis Management.  Mrs. Kupsky has had the opportunity to present statewide to Directors of Special Education on the co-teaching model.  Mrs. Kupsky has been in administration during difficult financial times and has shown the ability to monitor the needs and necessities that has led to the success the district has had in combining effective fiscal operations with progressive delivery of services.   

Mrs. Kupsky resides in Berwick with her husband and three children.  She is an active parent in all activities that her children participate in.
