These are certainly unexpected and difficult times for everyone. We are very sad that schools in Pennsylvania were ordered closed and we unable to complete the school year in a traditional way. I want to thank our faculty, parents and students for their cooperation as we work together to provide educational opportunities for all students in a new way. All of our teachers have created Google Classrooms for their students. I highly encourage all parents to take advantage of the educational program offered by your child’s teacher. You either have received educational packets or have access to the materials through Google Classroom.
I also highly encourage all students to take advantage of the Imagine Learning program from home. Students will benefit greatly from using this educational program for 30 minutes a day. This wonderful program is on your child’s specific academic level. Click here to access the program.
Once in the website follow the on screen directions and enter our specific school site code: 4203480
If you are unable to access the program, please contact your child’s teacher for assistance.
I would also like to thank our teachers and staff who have worked under unusual circumstances to provide our students with quality learning materials and to reach out to families while we have been out of school. Thanks also to our custodial staff and cafeteria staff who have been at school everyday working to provide meals and a clean environment. Their work in supporting our school community is greatly appreciated.
Regarding the Individual Spring Lifetouch student pictures which were taken in March:
Lifetouch is not able to print traditional preview packages for our students due to the Coronavirus. You can still view and order images by going online to mylifetouch.com and using the code LT179079Q0 to access West Berwick Elementary. Once there you will need to enter your personal code from Lifetouch to view or order your child's pictures. If you do not have an access code from Lifetouch or a My Lifetouch Rewards account, you may use the online chat feature to get the code or call 1-866-955-8342 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for asistance. If you order pictures online, they will be sent directly to your home from Lifetouch. Pictures will not be sent to the school. The school does not have access to your Lifetouch code.
West Berwick Elementary School's parent group has agreed to purchase a softcover yearbook for every student in the school. Students who already ordered and paid for a yearbook will receive a free upgrade to a hardcover copy. Ms. McCollum and Mrs. Bartholomew are currently working to complete the yearbook. Yearbooks will be available for pick-up at the school in June. A specific date will be provided once yearbooks have been printed and received for distribution. Thank you to our parent group for making this possible.
