Committed to Excellence...
building a better community one student at a time
"Classrooms for the Future is about recognizing and embracing the need for high school reform, enabling teachers to use technology as an effective tool for educating students, and preparing students to enter and successfully compete in the ever-expanding high-tech global marketplace." (PA Dept. of Education Web Site, January 2007) Classrooms for the Future is a technology-based curriculum initiative that provides students and teachers with laptops, LCD projectors, interactive whiteboards, digital and still cameras, and multi-fuction printer centers. In addition to the equipment, teachers will be provided on-going professional development and classroom support in the form of a Technology Integration Coach. The coach will provide resources and suggestions for incorporating technology, co-teach, share strategies, and support the classroom teacher in using technology. The coach and teacher will work collaboratively in planning and designing lessons to meet the varied needs of all students.
