College Application Tips:
It is that time of year when seniors should be completing college applications. In many cases, the application is the only opportunity or means the student has of making a positive impression on admissions personnel. With that in mind, we would like to make the following suggestions:
- Read all directions before beginning.
- Read notes in the margins.
- Be NEAT.
- Type or use black ink.
- Make requests for letters of recommendation at least one week in advance.
- Check to see if SAT/ACT scores must be provided directly from the testing organization.
- WHEN COMPLETED, submit all necessary materials (checks, application, etc.) to the guidance office. Allow one week for processing.
- It is in the best interest of the student to complete applications as early in the school year as possible.
- No applications are accepted in the guidance office in the week prior to the Christmas holiday.
