Welcome to the Title I Reading Program’s Homepage.  The Berwick Area School District is committed to providing exceptional reading instruction for Title I students.  It is our hope to unlock the amazing-filled world of reading for children…motivating them to become lifelong readers and learners! 

Title I Reading classes are offered in kindergarten through grades five in all four elementary schools staffed by six Reading Specialists and six teaching assistants (certified elementary teachers). We also offer a Title I Preschool Program at an elementary school, which is staffed by a preschool teacher and a preschool teacher-aide.  Our program also supports an Elementary Literacy Coach.

By searching this site, you will find many parental involvement pieces for parents of Title I students to access online. We hope that your visit to this site will offer you the resources you need to understand our program and motivate you to become more fully involved with helping children in their early years to bloom and flourish as lifelong readers!
