Mrs. Wendy Kupsky
Director of Special Education
Mrs. Kupsky was hired by the district in 1997 as a Learning Support teacher where she taught at the middle and high school levels. At the July 1, 2005 board meeting Mrs. Kupsky was hired as the Acting Director of Special Education for the district. She is responsible for Special Education and Gifted students. Mrs. Kupsky has also been coaching Track and Field since 1996 and Cross Country since 2003.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Education Services from Penn State University and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Bloomsburg University. She obtained her K-12 Principal Certification from Temple University. Mrs. Kupsky is currently attending Bloomsburg University in the Special Education Supervisory program, to be completed 2006.
Prior to working in the Berwick Area School District, Mrs. Kupsky worked in the mental health field for five years before becoming a teacher. She taught one year in Fairfax County Virginia as an Emotional Support teacher.
